StandUP Gardens
As an extension of the Diana Jodel Foundation, our mission with StandUP Gardens is to provide an outlet for students to gain healthy relationships and connectedness with their food, harboring healthy eating habits and the end of Disordered Eating and Eating Disorders (DEEDs).
This program is intended to bring gardening to the fingertips of students across all ages.
We will implement physical gardening spaces, teaching children the benefits and science behind growing food, and how healthy eating can be fun.
Gardening is a natural outlet for students to partake in hands-on environmental education, as well as generate a relationship and connectedness with food beyond that of packaged materials.
